EXTRACTION OF LIMESTONE
The Government of Assam issued grant of Mining Leases in four areas located at New Umrungsho, Dima Hasao District measuring 0.31 sq. km, 2.00 sq. km, 4.30 sq. km and 2.00 sq. km for extraction of limestone. The Corporation has already prepared Mining Plan which are also approved by the Indian Bureau of Mines. It has also prepared EIA/EMP Report which are to be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India for grant of Environment Clearance. The Public Hearing for all those four area will be conducted by the State Pollution Control Board on 19 th August, 2017.
SUPPLY OF LIMESTONE TO NTPC
NTPC requested AMDC for supply of 2.5 lakh MT limestone per annum for their FGD system installed at Salakati Unit w.e.f. May, 2018. The Corporation is taking necessary action in this regard.
SUPPLY OF LIMESTONE TO APGCL
Assam Power Generation Company Ltd. has requested AMDC for supply of 2,400 MT limestone per day for their FGD system proposed to be installed at Margherita. The Corporation is taking necessary action in this regard.
